Happy Baby

Its hard to catch her smile in a picture but we have a few:)

Tummy Time

McKenna loves tummy time. She moves her legs and ends up on the other side of the blanket. Once her arms are strong enough she'll be crawling!

First Bath

McKenna had her first bath on March 15th. She was quite content...
She didn't have any problems until...

her pacifier fell out!

She is very comforted by her pacifier, if its in her mouth she is most likely content :)

Trying to be Crafty!

I have been looking at craft blogs lately and I LOVE them. These 'BOO' blocks are one of the things I found and I thought I could do. Felipe's mom wanted me to decorate their house for halloween so I got to use all my halloween decorations and then she offered to finance my block project :) We went to Home Depot and bought a 4x4 12 foot piece of wood that they cut in half so I wouldn't have to hold it on top of the car through the window. We thought we could try and cut the blocks with his dad's saw but we turned it on and as soon as the blade touched the wood it stopped moving. So who do you call? BRIAN! He offered to take the wood to work and cut it all into square blocks. :)

I think they turned out very cute. I wouldn't have had anything to blog about if Felipe hadn't insisted on taking pictures of me and my craftiness attempt.
This is called "subway art" (I learned that from all my blog surfing) Most everyone in the blog world uses vinyl letters to make it but I don't have a Cricut or other expensive machines to make that work I thought I could wing it and it turned out pretty good. You can't see some of the smaller words from the picture but the big words look nice :)
I haven't had any pictures of Coco on our blog so I thought I would just throw some in and tell a funny story about him. I have found that the easiest way to bathe coco is to put him in the shower with me. He can't get out with the shower curtain and I am already getting wet so I don't get mad when he shakes all over. This last time must have been rough for him. He won't sit down in the water so he kind of crouches down but doesn't let anything but his feet touch the floor. He was resting his head on my foot while I finished my shower. I looked down and his eyes were closed and he was slowly tipping to the side as he fell asleep standing/crouching. :) I thought it was pretty funny and cute.

He just started losing teeth and now he has a classic shih tzu over bite :) Everyone in Felipe's family tells me that it is ugly but I think its kind of cute.

The Circus!!!

We had never been to the circus and we had the chance to go for Felipe's sisters birthday. I was a little skeptical that it would exciting but I thought it would at least be fun because I had never been to the "delta center" before. So it would be a new experience. :)
I was AMAZED at the things that they did. It was so much fun and have decided that we will have to go to the circus more often. We didn't bring our camera because we were so far up that the pictures wouldn't have turned out at good as the ones they have on their website.
My favorite "act" was the tiger show. I have always loved tigers so I was bound to love them. The tigers were amazing they are ridiculously smart. The trainer/performer spoke to them in either Russian or German...it was a language Felipe couldn't pick out. And we were so far away from them that it was hard to hear...but I have decided that any other dogs I have in my life will be trained in a different language...maybe :)
There were 9 tigers all in the same cage, it was amazing that the trainer could pay attention to all of them at the same time. He would be asking one to do a trick and realize that a tiger behind him was getting restless and "make" him be good. My favorite trick was the tiger that could walk on his hind legs. It was so cute and being so far away made him look like a little kitty jumping up for a string.

Felipe liked the motorcycles the rode in a metal ball. It was crazy.
This is the link for the motorcycle craziness..  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJDSPndUJh0&feature=related
The picture just doesn't show how cool it really was. They fit 7 riders and their bikes in this tiny space and they all ride around going sideways and upside down. Felipe said this is why he wants a motorcycle now...so he won't be getting one :) I was nervous for the people that I don't even know so I don't think I could handle my husband being wreckless like that.
Those were just our favorite things. They had all kinds of amazing acts. The flying trapeze, tight rope walkers, acrobats, elephants, bodybenders, etc.

We had a blast there! If you ever get the chance I think it is well worth it! :)

A baby!

We went to the doctor last week and to see how old it was they did an ultrasound. The pictures are a little blurry but you can kind of see.
